So we just got back from the San Diego Street Scene. We had a booth set up in the VIP Ultra Lounge as well as a booth in the artist lounge area behind the main stage. Lots of great music and lots of work. We hosted 6 autograph signings with Slightly Stoopid, Nine Black Alps, She Wants Revenge, The Shys, The Shins and the Subways. Lots of pictures are on their way and should be up soon.

Got to reconnect with some old friends from Interscope and got to make new friends with DJ's from my favorite radio station 94.9 FM.

More to follow -

I'm off to visit Amp'd Mobile and IGN tomorrow. Yipee!

Keep on Rockin in the Free World

   Posted by Paul

The Wall Street Journal just published an article on CEO's that Rock! And in case you were wondering what Paul Allen and Joshua Bolten, chief of staff to President Bush have in common with Keith Richards, then read on.

And since I'm about to tear it up this Saturday, I can't think of anything more appropriate.

Get WARPED!

Nice - So we just got our videos back from our stint on the Van's Warped Tour.

Besides for being so silly hot, it was a great day. We threw a serious back stage Bar-B-Que  and it was a great turn out. Kicked it with the Pink Spiders, with Silverstein, with Gym Class Heroes, and even Angelo from Fishbone (That was a huge honor for me - to date, Fishbone put on the best performance that I have ever seen)

So without further delay -- take a look and let us know what you think. ( I can't get the YouTube embedded files to work so you are going to have to do it the old fashion way)

Don't forget to look at the still pictures in our Warped Tour photo Album.

OK. So since Kelly announced our "Name our New Product"  contest last Friday, our friends at Stereophile and the OC Register have already written about it. WOW! And even crazier - we've had multiple submissions from their readers.

When you want the latest happenings and musings in high-end audio, please check out Wes Phillips' Blog. And when you want the latest must-have gadgets, look no further than the Gadetress.

Thanks

And oh yeah - big ups to Edwood at Head-fi who just won't let the XXX moniker die.

New UE Contest - Name that product!

     Posted by Kelly

Hey everyone,

Do you want to walk the walk? Talk the talk? Well Ultimate Ears is giving you that chance. Here’s how it works my friends.

We are about to announce the birth of a new Ultimate Ears product that we’ve internally coined XXX, sorry, I mean Triple X. Due to reasons left unsaid and by the authority of “The Man” we’ve got to come up with a new name. And that’s where we need you. This product will be joining the super.fi family and thus will be grouped with the 3 Studio, 5 Pro and 5 EB.

And check this out, everyone wins in some shape or form. Every submission will win a $25 gift certificate towards the presale of the new product. Each submission that has possible potential will win the gift certificate and an exclusive Ultimate Ears CD. And if you’re the winner, not only can you officially walk the walk and talk the talk, but you’ll win a custom UE 10 valued at $900. That’s some serious shmack talking material.

We want to see what you got, so please email me, kduke@ultimateears.com, by MONDAY, JULY 31. Please include your mailing address so we can send you your prize(s)!

And I sign off on this note. Wouldn’t it be a cool idea if Ultimate Ears developed a universal earpiece that’s equivalent to the UE 10? Huh, just a thought…
